Especially, new students have reported receiving messages that purport to be from "CIR." These emails may be phishing attempts or other cyber scams designed to collect personal information or credentials or financial fraud.  We have also reports from students receiving requests through phone calls also. Please warn your students about these incidents and advise them to follow these safety steps: Verify the sender’s email address and look for inconsistencies or unfamiliar domains. Verify all calls physically from the departments before acting on the requests from the caller. Do not click links or download attachments from unexpected or unsolicited emails.
