If you have a mobile device, the "don't validate" option will be available. You can find out more about the various options on this page. You can use this option
Manual for configuring Android devices to connect to Amrita WiFi. Step 1: For accessing Amrita Wi-Fi on Android devices, you should have the Amrita WiFi/VPN/Domain account received in your college email. Step 2: Go to the Settings icon on your Android device/mobile. Step 3: On the Settings page in Wireless & networks, click on Wi-Fi.
Turned off the Data Turn on the Wi-Fi
You can see the available wireless networks. Select the respective SSID. For example – Amrita. or Amrita Class or Room Wifi
In the EAP Method select PEAP.
In Phase-2 authentication select MSCHAPV2.
Leave CA Certificate “None” or select “Do not validate."
Select "Do not validate" only if the connect option is not highlighted.
Enter your Amrita WiFi ID in the Identity (i.e. without @cb.students.amrita.edu).
For example, if the email id is cb.en.u4cse19023@cb.students.amrita.edu, the Wi-Fi username/identity would be cb.en.u4cse19023.
Leave the anonymous identity field blank.
Enter your Amrita Wi-Fi password
Some mobiles not available don't validate the option; you can use the non-option. Try to connect; if connected, no problem. If you are not connecting to the campus Wi-Fi, alternatively, you can use the CA certification method. Click here. Please obtain the CA certification method.
Some mobile phones, after connecting to Wi-Fi, will have privacy settings appear after connecting to Wi-Fi. Please change the privacy-use device MAC address.
Click on “Advanced options” as shown in the screen shot below.
NOTE: If device has used the randomization feature in privacy, then choose "Use device MAC" instead of "Use randomized MAC" (default option)
(If select a random MAC address and connect to Amrita WiFi every time, it will change the MAC address in the future.) Maybe 2 devices get an internet connection option; will the approach condition be available? There may be a disconnected internet connection in your device.

If you use a random MAC address, every time you connect to Wi-Fi, the MAC address of your mobile phone changes.
Click on Connect to enable the services.
Now the device is connected to ”Amrita” Wi-Fi.

Recently I had an issue with Samsung Mobile's "Don't Validate" option. It's there but not connecting for some security reason. The Samsung company updated the Android version. Please install the CA certification method; click here
Namah Shivaya, As part of the University IT Policy, you are allowed to use one device (a laptop) on the campus Wi-Fi. To allow access to the Wi-Fi, you need register your device (laptop) MAC address through the Campus Management System (CMS). Please log in to the CMS and complete the MAC address registration on or before 31st July 2026. Ensure that you enter the correct Wi-Fi MAC address of the laptop you intend to use on campus Wi-Fi.
