 To see your Wi-Fi adapter, you can check the "Network adapters" section in Device Manager:

  1. Right-click the Start menu button
  2. Select Device Manager
  3. Expand Network adapters
  4. Verify if the wireless card appears listed 
You can also turn your Wi-Fi adapter on or off by:
  1. Right-clicking the Start button and selecting Settings
  2. Going to the Network & internet tab
  3. Scrolling down to Advanced network settings
  4. Under the list of Network Adapters, you will find your Network Adapter and the option to Enable or Disable it 
If you're using a Dell laptop, you can also turn on Wi-Fi by:
  1. Pressing the Windows key on your keyboard
  2. Clicking Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi
  3. Setting the Wi-Fi option to "On"
